Cynthia Farid
Cynthia Farid(LLB, LLM, SJD, Barrister-at-Law) is an academic and a lawyer with longstanding experience in research, legal practice as well as a range of rule of law programming with INGOs, think tanks, and legal rights organizations. Having completed her bar from the UK and Bangladesh, she graduated with advanced degrees from Cornell Law School (LL.M) and the University of Wisconsin Law School (SJD-Doctor of Juridical Science). Dr. Farid is currently a Global Academic Fellow at the University of Hong Kong. Her research interests include socio-legal history, constitutional and administrative law, and law and development. Dr. Farid is also the organizer of two International Research Collaboratives of the Law and Society Association on South Asian Legal Systems and Scholars in the Global South respectively, that have brought together scholars from around the globe to work on these collaborative projects.
